Self-Care as Healthcare

Giving Back and Creating a Community of Wellbeing During Challenging Times

If you’re feeling stressed and frustrated by this COVID-19-influenced life, you’re not alone. Lack of control, uncertainty, worry about catching the virus, and financial concerns are leaving most of us wary and more anxious than usual.

Fortunately, by our nature, we humans are creative, resourceful, and, at our core: Whole. Regardless of life’s circumstances, wholeness can never be taken from us. We don’t need to achieve certain milestones to be whole, we just are. However, messages embedded in our culture tell us that we are something other than whole. These messages are flung at us to sell products and services to “fix” us.

Despite this, a new awakening is also occurring — one that encourages deeper probing and more thoughtful responses. In addition to the forced work schedule changes and environments with COVID-19, an increased awareness of social injustice and systemic racism via the Black Lives Matter movement has ushered in a long-overdue questioning of the status quo.

Collectively, we’re beginning to wake up. This awakening offers new approaches to work, life, health, and balance. No one benefits when we collectively sacrifice our health, happiness, equality or wellbeing. Each of these is highly dependent on our awareness of collective wholeness and the choices that we make to align with it.

I’ve designed the webinar series, Self-Care as Healthcare, to help you come into greater awareness of your wholeness and a place of complete wellbeing. The series is presented by  life dimensions, or inner processes, over which we each have control. The process of awakening is unique to each of us. By exploring each dimension independently, we can apply simple techniques that not only enhance our health but lead to our abilities to live more wholesome, more rewarding lives.

Within the context of our group learning environment, we’ll work to release old stories of shame and blame that fool us into believing that, in some way, we’re not whole. Paired with The Wellness Inventory, the full 12-week series forms a comprehensive personal development program with the power to transform your life.

I invite you to join me on this path to discovering how to best support the creative, resourceful, whole being who you are.
